East Side Café

Any person may come to MorningStar Mission at regularly scheduled meal times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and receive the prepared meal without cost. At least one hot meal a day is prepared including meat, bread, starch, vegetables, and beverage.

• 3 meals a day Monday – Saturday; breakfast and dinner on Sunday.
• Open to the public, no regulations or restrictions
• The kitchen is run by the men in our Men’s 180 program

Friday Food Pantry

No one in our community should go hungry. Every Friday, people struggling with hunger can come to the food pantry to receive essential food.

Register at 8:00 am Fridays at the Drop-In Center located at 360 East Washington Street, Joliet, IL 60432. Participants attend chapel and then go over to the Food Pantry following the service. This program is available for all Will County residents with a valid ID.

In 2022, MorningStar served 193 people through the Friday Food Pantry!
