MorningStar Mission in Joliet has added new staff members to assist with development and community relations.
Peggy Sue Munday (pictured above, right) holds the position of Director of Development. A native of Kankakee County, Munday currently holds a seat on their County Board. She also sits on the Board of the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties and the Bradley Bourbonnais Rotary Club. A member of the Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce, Munday sits on the Women in Networking committee. A former Athena Award winner, she is a well-known Motivational Speaker and has over 40 years of volunteerism throughout Kankakee County.
Aleta Finney Pavnica (pictured above, left) is the Director of Community Relations. A lifelong resident of Will County she has worked in the areas of business and education throughout her life. Currently, Pavnica is a board member of JTHS Foundation, The Salvation Army, and the Spanish Community Center. A graduate of Governors State University she taught at Prairie State College for 10 years. Pavnica is a long-time volunteer at MorningStar. With 3 adult sons, she has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to philanthropy and family.
MorningStar Mission serves all of Will County with emergency shelter as well as a Drop-In Center for cooling and heating and daily meals served at their Café.
