Mary L. Weitendorf Women & Family Center

We believe that God can and does work miracles in the lives of those seeking to break free from chronic homelessness. The Women and Family Center provides shelter, food, clothing, case management, classes, and support groups all while fostering a safe, productive environment that restores dignity and promotes healing. This is a Christ-centered program grounded on spiritual principles designed to encourage success and help in overcoming often self-destructive habits and behaviors.

The Women and Family Center is open to single women, women with children, men with children, and intact families. Guests work on a personalized program which includes attendance at group classes such as Bible study and life skills such as parenting and anger management. The program also assists participants in job skills classes to help in locating long-term housing.

Admission Criteria:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Provide required documentation
• Candidate must be medically stable and able to fully function within the structure of the program
• Independently able to take prescription medication as prescribed
• Must not have any legal obligations pending other than being on parole or probation

Transitional Housing

Scattered site houses are available for families to use as transitional housing with a reduced program fee to help our guests transition back into the community. Guests must be attending school or working and they have the opportunity of staying up to 2 years while paying the reduced rent. Our goal is that guests will be self-sufficient by the end of that time to be able to afford market rent.
